Rehabbing St. Louis Cardinals righty Miles Mikolas allowed just a single run over 4.2 rehab innings and Luken Baker continued an incredible stretch with two more home runs in an 11-4 Springfield Cardinals win over the visiting Tulsa Drillers on Tuesday at Hammons Field. The win was the third in a row for the Cardinals.
Baker’s blasts came in the fourth and eighth innings and gave the big first baseman his third multi-homer game in the last six games. Baker also doubled, finishing the night 3-for-5 with three runs and five RBIs.
Mikolas struck out three in the start, allowing four hits and a walk. Also in Springfield on rehab, RHP Daniel Ponce de Leon was credited with the win, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk over 1.2 innings, striking out one.
