The Missouri and Illinois mens’ basketball teams will play a mid-week version of Braggin’ Rights this year as the game returns to the Enterprise Center. This year’s game will be played Dec. 22, a Wednesday. It is played the Saturday before Christmas when possible, but the range of potential dates is narrow because of the end of college semesters, the start of Christmas breaks and the Big Ten’s early start to conference play.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a number of new faces along the offensive line heading into the 2021 season. One not-so-new, but returning face is lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, who opted out of the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While the Chiefs are excited to bring him back into the fold, there has been a bump — or break — in the road. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the 30-year-old is expected to be out 4-6 weeks after recently breaking a bone in his hand during practice.

The good news for Duvernay-Tardif and the Chiefs, per Rapoport, is that no surgery is necessary, which leaves the possibility open to be back ready to play by the Week 1 opener.

Duvernay-Tardif is entering his seventh season in the NFL, all of which have been with the Chiefs.
