After agreeing to terms on a two-year deal with Carlos Rodon, the SAN FRANCISCO Giants found themselves in an interesting spot. They had a full rotation but also a bunch of veterans with injury histories and a need for more depth.
On Sunday, they found a way to fill a need….
The Giants are reportedly signing veteran right-hander Carlos Martinez to a one-year deal, as first reported by Martinez himself on his Instagram page.

It appears Tom Brady kept leaving the door open for a potential return to the NFL for a reason. On Sunday, three days before the official start of the 2022 offseason and just one month after announcing his retirement, Brady revealed on social media that he is, in fact, coming back. Forty days of retirement was apparently enough, because the legendary quarterback is now — once again — set to start for the Buccaneers.
“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,” Brady wrote on Twitter. “That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business.”

IN A NORMAL PGA TOURNAMENT, ROUND’S ONE AND TWO ON THURSDAY AND FRIDAY TRIMS THE FIELD FOR SATURDAY’S ROUND 3 AND THE FINAL ROUND ON SUNDAY……
The Players Championship opened with 47 of the top 50 players in the world as part of its 2022 field AND HAS BEEN ANYTHING BUT NORMAL…… The problem IS MOTHER NATURE…..weather delays and uneven course conditions led to some of the game’s biggest stars missing the cut. Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, Collin Morikawa and Patrick Cantlay all missed the cut to play the final two rounds.
It has also created a tournament where none of the first three rounds were completed in a single day.
TPC Sawgrass aims to buck that trend Monday as Round 3 wraps up THIS morning with Round 4 expected to commence between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET. Golfers will be placed in threesomes and with starts split between holes No. 1 and No. 10 in an effort to ensure everyone gets into the clubhouse before darkness falls.
Sam Burns and Tom Hoge share the lead after the first two rounds of a weather-delayed tournament while
