Patrick Mahomes isn’t BLAMING THE offensive line for the Kansas City Chiefs failing to repeat as Super Bowl CHAMPS. THE CHIEFS QB admitted he didn’t trust himself in the pocket enough during that game and vowed to improve….

One of the Chiefs’ prize additions on their offensive line is really helping him out.

“Just communicating with the offensive line on like how they protect,” Mahomes said to reporters at Chiefs training camp Thursday. “Orlando (Brown) is great about it and talking about different things that he is trying and seeing how I like them. Trying to build that relationship, build that kind of comfort with them.

Brown’s veteran experience will certainly help Mahomes trust his offensive line more. He allowed 28 pressures and three sacks for the Baltimore Ravens last season and didn’t allow a single sack or quarterback hit in 389 pass-blocking snaps at left tackle filling in for Ronnie Stanley. Brown has also committed just two holding penalties over the last two seasons. He’s just one of four offensive tackles selected to the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons
Brown is helping Mahomes accomplish his offseason challenge, using the valuable time the two have in training camp to figure out their tendencies.
CHIEFS MEET THE 49ers NEAR SAN FRANCISCO SAT. NIGHT AT 7:30…..

49er Coach Kyle Shanahan knows in the big picture, it won’t matter how well Trey Lance plays in his exhibition debut for the San Francisco 49ers. That doesn’t dampen Shanahan’s excitement to see his rookie first-round quarterback take the field in a game for the first time Saturday night when the Niners host the Kansas City Chiefs in an exhibition game.
