THE FRISCO LEAGUE BASEBALL TOURNAMENT HAS A CHAMP AND IT WAS THE TOP SEED….
The Licking Wildcats are Frisco League Tournament champions for the second year in a row by virtue of their 11-4 victory over the Iberia Rangers on Friday night in Stoutland.

Licking scored 1 in the bottom of the first and 4 and led 5-0 before Iberia answered with three in the top of the fifth to get within striking distance.

The Wildcats put the game on ice in the sixth with the long ball. Rusty Buckner hammered a pitch off the scoreboard in left for a 2-run shot, Spencer Rogers lifted a 3-run home run over the left field wall later in the inning and it’s 11-3.
Iberia landed a final punch with a single tally in the top of the seventh but it wasn’t enough. The win lifted Licking to the tournament title and an 8-1 record on the season.
Silas Antle started and picked up the Licking win. The sophomore battled his control, walking five in four innings but did not allow a hit and fanned seven.
Keyton Cook hurled the final three frames for the save.
Antle and Cook both turned in two-hit performances at the plate for the Wildcats. Cook drove in 2 runs..
Logan Seel was 1-for-2 with 2 RBIS for the Rangers. Jaydin Rowden and Hunter Piggott also notched base hits for Iberia.

Every time the Kansas City Chiefs needed a big play on Sunday, their magician under center produced the kind of mesmerizing moment that left the Cleveland Browns shaking their heads in awe and frustration.

There was Patrick Mahomes’ 75-yard touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill, where he lofted the ball deep downfield and his wide receiver made an incredible adjustment. The crucial throws that kept drives alive.

And ultimately, the touchdown pass to Travis Kelce that completed a comeback from a 12-point hole and gave Kansas City a 33-29 victory Sunday.

On the field, Mahomes finished with 337 yards passing and three touchdowns while running for a score. On the sideline, he helped to instill the confidence in a struggling Kansas City defense that it could make plays when it mattered down the stretch.

”You love his attitude because he always feels like we’re in it,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. ”He does such a great job with the guys around him. He’s a great communicator during tough times on the sideline.”
