The Missouri State High School Activities Association has canceled its spring post-season events for the rest of the academic year. The announcement comes after Governor Mike Parson issued a statewide order for all public and charter schools to remain closed for the rest of the academic year.
Missouri K through 12 Education Commissioner Margie Vandeven (van-DEE-ven) says the decision was made to protect students and school staff from the coronavirus outbreak.

 

This  means no athletic competition for baseball, softball, track and field, golf, soccer and bass fishing along with other extra curricular activities….MSHSAA is now focusing on fall sports and the 2020-2021 school calendar…
Vandeven says the department is working quickly to address district questions about summer school, graduation, internet broadband problems, and many others.

Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Bashaud Breeland has signed a one year deal to return to the defending champions, with a value of $4.5 million dollars..
Breeland had 48 tackles and 2 interceptions for the Chiefs last season including one in the title game against San Francisco two months ago..
