This month marks the end of another fiscal year for the Lebanon Laclede County Library District, which means that planning is underway for 2021. Library Director Cathy Dame says that 2020 brought some challenges with the library being closed due to the pandemic….

In addition to late fees, the Library is funded by a small property tax which is paid by all property owners in Laclede County, and by the State Library Grants. Staff continues to raise money for equipment and other things for the Library District through the Books for Bucks Sale, which is held once a month. In addition, the Friends of the Library and the Library Foundation raises funds to support programs in the library. As for planning for 2021, Dame said they are going to base the budget on 2019 numbers.
