Lake Regional Health System is pleased to welcome Katherine Becker, FNP-C, to Lake Regional Express Care – Lebanon.

“Katherine grew up in Lebanon and is a trusted health care provider in this community,” said Rachel Bailey, manager of Lake Regional Express Care – Lebanon and Lake Regional Clinic – Lebanon. “We’re thankful to have her providing walk-in care to our patients.”

Becker spent the last seven years caring for patients at Mercy clinics in Lebanon. Previously, she served as a registered nurse at Joel E. Barber C-5 School and as a registered nurse/shift manager in the Emergency Department at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla.

Nursing runs in Becker’s family.

“My grandmother and my aunt were nurses, so I was able to appreciate the difference nurses make from a more personal perspective,” she said. She added it’s especially rewarding to care for people in her hometown.

“I enjoy caring for whole families and love it when my patients bring in pictures of their new grandbabies to share!” she said.

Becker is careful to include her patients in making decisions and setting goals.

“Involving patients in their own care allows me to learn what’s important to them, to create a plan together and to cheer them on when they succeed,” she said.

Becker earned her post-master’s family nurse practitioner certificate from Cox College in Springfield, Missouri. She previously earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida.

Becker lives in Lebanon with her husband, Jimmy.
