Kansas City Woman Escapes Drowning At Ha Ha Tonka State Park

A 19-year-old Kansas City Kansas woman nearly drowned at Ha Ha Tonka State Park on Saturday. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that Yolanda Munoz-Garcia was swimming in the current at the mouth of the spring at Lake of the Ozarks when she went below the surface and did not resurface. She was pulled to the service by a bystander at the scene. Munoz-Garcia was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. The incident occurred at 1:22 Saturday afternoon.
