Kansas City man arrested for domestic assault in Sunrise Beach

A Kansas City man is facing charges in Camden County for allegedly assaulting a woman and stealing her vehicle on February 17th. According to the report filed by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to the 200 block of Windsor Manor Circle in Sunrise Beach, where the victim said that her boyfriend, Joseph Sparks attempted to keep her from getting into her residence, throwing her to the ground, causing her to hit her head on a concrete wall. She said that he then took her cell phone and destroyed it, and then got into her vehicle and left. Sparks and the vehicle were located a short distance away and was taken into custody. 40-year-old Joseph Sparks is charged with domestic assault, tampering with a motor vehicle, tampering with physical evidence, and property damage. His bond was set at $ 50 thousand cash or surety.
