The murder trial of a Lebanon man could begin next month. The trial of Kevin Kayden was continued in May and is now supposed to begin on November 2nd. Kayden is accused of murdering his girlfriend, 27-year-old Laquita Williams in December 2018. Ms. Williams body was found in her home, on North Street, by her landlord, days after she was killed. Police found Williams with her arms tied behind her back, a cord around her neck, and her throat cut. Kayden and the victim were allegedly involved in an abusive relationship, prior to the murder. Kevin Kayden is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. His trial is scheduled to be held in Laclede County.
