Dallas County Judge Lisa Henderson granted Timothy Norton’s request to hire a new attorney in the case of Cassidy Rainwater’s death. Norton and James Phelps are facing murder and kidnapping charges in the death of Rainwater.
Some Rainwater’s flesh was found in a freezer belonging to Phelps the rest of her remains were found scattered on a nearby property belonging to Cassidy’s grandfather, Bill Rainwater.
Norton has now obtained the legal services of Thomas Kirsch of Jefferson City. Branden Twibell of Springfield had represented him.
A preliminary hearing for Norton is scheduled for February 2nd in Dallas County. Norton and Phelps remain in jail without bond.
