Journey To Bethlehem Friday and Saturday At Crocker Christian Church
Over 100 cast members will be taking part in performing biblical roles in the annual Journey to Bethlehem event at the Crocker Christian Church, located south of Crocker on Highway 17. Those who take the journey will come across shops, merchants, Roman soldiers on horseback, an array of animals, and King Herod on their way to see Joseph and Mary with the baby Jesus placed in a manger.
This has been a very popular attraction through the years, attracting up to two thousand visitors when the weather is decent.
One of the organizers, Sherry Campisi, describes what a typical event participant will see.
While waiting inside the sanctuary at the church to take the journey, event goers can enjoy cookies and Christmas music performed by Becky Lercher.
There is no charge to take the Journey to Bethlehem at the Crocker Christian Church. Golf carts will be provided for the handicapped.
The hours for Journey to Bethlehem will be 5 to 9 p-m each evening. Guided walking tours will department every 20 minutes.
