Joint Civilian Airport At Fort Wood Qualifies For A One Million Dollar Grant From Federal Government

A major goal has been achieved at the Waynesville-St. Robert Joint Civilian Airport at Fort Leonard Wood. For a long time the year-to-year goal has been to achieve ten-thousand passengers flying in and out of Forney Field on the installation.
Waynesville Mayor Sean Wilson says that milestone was reached this year at the joint civilian airport on Forney Field. As a result, a huge chunk of change will be coming from the Federal Government for civilian facility improvements.

The airport’s Essential Air Service provider is Contour Air, which provides jet flights out of Nashville, Tennessee, and serving other big cities in the country including Fort Leonard Wood.
