The Joel E. Barber School Board met for the first time since the June 2nd election, incumbents Bob Hall and Melissa Wehner along with newly elected member Melissa Angst were sworn in for their new terms. The board then re-elected Hall as President of the board and Levi Angst as vice president.

Superintendent Rachelle Jennings said the board is looking at several ways to reopen the school after being shut down to the threat of the COVID 19 outbreak:

The school was hit by strong straight-line winds during a storm on May 4th, causing major damage to the facility. Jennings says they hope to have the building ready to open for summer school in July.

The summer school will run from July the 6th through July 30th.
