Jimmie E. Hughes was a loving husband, son and father. He passed away on August 15th, 2024, surrounded by family.

Jim loved being in the woods hunting at a young age and spent all of his life pursuing this passion. He loved hunting, scouting, trapping and mentoring others to share his vast skills, knowledge and expertise.

Jim and Rhonda met and spent a combined total of 76 years working at Charger Boat! This was a huge part of their lives.

Jim loved spending time with his friends and family. No matter what he was doing, he always had time to stop and spend with them, helping when needed, or just sharing one of his deep laughs that made everyone around him happy.

Jim was proceeded in death by his Father – Fred Hughes Jr., Half-brother Billy Hughes, Grandson – Matthew Hughes, and Great Granddaughter – Paisley Martin.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Rhonda Hughes, Mother – Norma Hughes, Sons – Bruce Hughes (wife Becky), Mark Hughes (wife Mary), and Mark Gammons (wife Miki), and Daughter – Monica Rook (husband Brian). Grandchildren – Tyler, Damion (wife Calista), Victoria (husband Gabe), Benjamin, Bekah, Kelly and Shallyn. Great Grandchildren – Harlow and Evelyn.

Jim and Rhonda’s love extended much further than their biological family. Shane and Lisa Jennings and their children Shayna and Timothy and their Grandchildren – Jimmie Jo, Liberty and Emmett were also a huge part of their lives and so, so, many others, too many to list, but all part of their hearts.

To say that Jim will be missed is an understatement. To say that he is loved, and his love is evident in all of our hearts and will be forever.
