Jerome Shelton of Waynesville has been arraigned in Pulaski County Associate Circuit Court

Jerome Shelton of Waynesville has been arraigned in Pulaski County Associate Circuit Court on two counts of trafficking in the second degree and one count of driving while intoxicated. Court documents allege that on March 24, the defendant knowingly possessed 24 or more grams of a mixture or substance containing a cocaine base, and 20 grams or more of fentanyl. The defendant was also found to be driving while under the influence of alcohol. The defendant has previously been found guilty of driving while intoxicated in 2011 and 2001. Shelton has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Judge Colin Long has ordered him to personally appear for a counsel status hearing on April 2nd, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 22nd.
