It’s Time for Senior Property Owners to Apply for Property Tax Freeze

Laclede County residents who are eligible for Social Security now have a way to protect their wallet from increasing real estate property taxes. Missouri Senate Bill 190 allows the county to grant a tax credit which will freeze the primary residence property tax at 2023 levels. After the application is approved the resident property owner will receive a credit on the 2024 real estate property tax bill. Applications must be submitted by June 30th and will have to be renewed each year.
