Isaac Joseph Patrick Ard, age 10, of Urbana, Missouri went home to the arms of Jesus on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Isaac was born on April 4, 2014, in Loveland, Colorado, to David C. and Malinda ‘Erin’ (Smith) Ard.

Isaac, or ‘Bubby’ as his beloved family called him, was the light of his mom’s life, the apple of his dad’s eye, and big sister Eva’s best bud. He had the brightest and bubbliest personality. He loved everyone and everyone loved his sweet disposition and mischievous grin. He never met a stranger, only new friends. Bubby loved music and singing songs. He enjoyed riding his bike, blowing bubbles, and playing with cars, marbles, and his 38 stuffies. His best stuffie friend of all, Wolfie, was with him since birth. Together they created all kinds of memories and worked through lots of emotions.

For his young age, Bubby already had a firm standing in his Christian faith. He loved to attend church, especially children’s church, and said goodnight prayers each night, thanking the Lord for ‘all the things today.’ It is because of his faith that we have a firm assurance that one day, we will be united again with Isaac, never again to be separated.

Isaac was preceded by his paternal grandfather Lawrence ‘Patrick’ Ard, maternal grandfather Joseph F. Smith, and uncle Victor Garcia. He is survived by his parents, David and Erin Ard; sisters Tiffanie Blaylock (Thomas), Hannah Rohrbach, and Eva Ard; paternal grandmother Mary ‘Sue’ Ard, and maternal grandmother Betty Smith; aunts Mary Mitchell (Bill), Sue Pierce, and Joanne Owens; uncles Larry Ard (Julie), David Smith, and Roger Smith (Tammy), as well as numerous beloved cousins and extended family.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2025, at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo with Pastor John Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery with David Smith, Roger Smith, Brian Smith and Larry Ard serving as escorts. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 24, 2024, from 5-6 p.m.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo.
