Iowa motorcycle driver involved in fatal accident in Lebanon
A motorcycle wreck in Lebanon on Sunday afternoon took the life of a man from Iowa. Lebanon Police responded to the call in the 700 block of East Elm, at around 4:10 pm, for a motorcycle crash. During the investigation, police learned that 42-year-old James Jantz of LeClaire Iowa was traveling west on Elm Street when he lost control of his motorcycle as he was rounding the corner at Elm and Millcreek. The bike ran off the road, hitting the parking lot of Marine Electrical Products, went airborne and into the building. Jantz died at the scene. Authorities believe that Jantz may have been driving too fast when the wreck happened.
