Involuntary manslaughter plea in connection with overdose death in Miller County

A Columbia man who was arrested in Miller County in 2020 following the overdose death of a woman in Miller County, has pleaded guilty to involuntary Manslaughter. 31 year old William Kyle Crooks was arrested and charged with recklessly causing the death of the woman by providing fentanyl to the victim. On Friday, Crooks pleaded guilty to the charge of involuntary manslaughter and to delivery of a controlled substance, in Miller County Court. His sentencing hearing is scheduled to take place on April 13th.
