With the upcoming construction plans for Bennett Spring Hatchery, the Department of Conservation will hold a public meeting on March 25th for anyone interested in how the renovations will affect fishing at Bennett Spring State Park. MDC Staff will provide updates on the multi-million dollar renovation that is underway at the Hatchery. According to Hatchery Manager Ben Havens they are getting ready to start taking bids this Spring….

Havens said the project is long overdue…

The project is expected to take about two years, and while fish production at Bennett Spring will be interupted and the raceways will be empty, they will be transported trout in from other hatcheries to support the fish stock for fishing at the Park. The public meeting to hear about the plans, see dioramas, and ask questions will take place on Saturday March 25th at 6pm at the Bennett Room at 11798 Highway 64 Lebanon.
