The CDC and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services are reporting that influenza is widespread in sixteen states and that includes Missouri. Laclede County Health Department Director, Charla Baker says, influenza cases has surpassed 1500 in the state:

Baker says, it takes about two weeks after the flu shot for the body to becomes immune to the flu. If you have not received your flu shot the Laclede County Health Department does have plenty on hand now.
