Indictment in Texas County for October murder

A Texas County man charged in the murder of 30 year old Crue Ridenoure, in October, has been indicted by a grand jury and arraigned in Texas County Circuit Court. 22 year old Michael Anthony Nugent of Eunice was arrested in October after Ridenoure died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Ridenoure was found lying in the ditch along Highway W near the intersection of Highway 17. Authorities say the victim was able to identify the shooter prior to being taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. Nugent is charged with first degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. He remains in the Texas County Jail without bond.
