Hunting And Fishing Permits To Cost More Next Year

Permits for hunting and fishing in Missouri will likely cost a bit more next year. The state’s Conservation Commission has given initial approval to raising the price tag for most hunting and fishing permits, citing increasing costs and several site renovations on the to-do list. M-D-C Deputy Director Aaron Jeffries says the proposed increases will be minimal:

Jeffries also says the average deer hunting permit in surrounding states costs over 50 dollars. Public comments will be accepted from July 4th through August 2nd, and a final vote by the Conservation Commission is scheduled in September. The price hikes would take place next February.
