The indictment of a Humansville man accused in the murder of 57-year-old Tina May has been unsealed. 34-year-old Kaleb Stamper was indicted on charges of first-degree murder, armed criminal action, and first-degree burglary, with a bond of $1-million-dollars cash or surety. On March 20th, 2021 Tina May was found dead in her home on Mill Street from stab wounds to her neck. According to a statement to investigators, Stamper said he bought a knife in Lebanon and drove to Buffalo to kill another person, but they weren’t home, so he drove to May’s home in Humansville and killed her. Stamper was reportedly on his way to Springfield to kill another person when he was stopped by a Polk County Deputy. The case was suspended for several months while a mental evaluation was conducted.
