Holmes charged with 2 more counts of child abuse

A Laclede County man who is already jailed on a charge of felony child abuse in connection to serious life-threatening injuries to a 3-year-old boy, is now facing additional charges. 39-year-old George Wade Holmes was arrested following an investigation that began when the child’s aunt contacted law enforcement, and the victim was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries from long-term and severe abuse. That same investigation led to the arrest of the boy’s mother, Carrie Frazier who is also charged with child abuse. On Monday, 2 more charges of child abuse were filed against Holmes. It’s alleged that Holmes withheld and rationed food to the other children in the home which caused them to lose weight. Holmes is also accused of giving his two children gummies that contained THC on a regular basis. Lab tests showed that both children tested positive for THC in their blood. Holmes remains in custody without bond.
