(Eldon)–A suspect was taken into custody following a highway chase Monday in Miller County. Officers with the Eldon police department had observed a red Chevy truck that had been stolen out of Olean on Saturday. The truck was being driven through town Monday, heading north on Highway Double-C. The driver of the vehicle eluded the officers, but the vehicle was spotted one mile north of Eldon by Miller County Sheriff Louie Gregoire, who gave pursuit back toward Eldon. The driver turned on Eldon road and was taken into custody after running into a fence.
The suspect was placed on a 24-hour hold pending charges of Tampering in the First Degree, Felony Resisting Arrest, and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
