Hermann Shooting Update

A man is in jail for allegedly shooting two Hermann police officers Sunday night – killing one and critically injuring the other. 35-year-old Kenneth Lee Simpson reportedly shot the officers when they tried to arrest him on multiple warrants. Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Mike Mitchell says Detective Sergeant Mason Griffith was killed and Officer Adam Sullentrup was critically injured.

BackStoppers, a nonprofit that supports families of first responders, is helping the families of Griffith and Sullentrup.
