Heritage Bank of the Ozarks to acquire Legacy Bank and Trust

Heritage Bank of the Ozarks, a locally owned bank has purchased the Legacy Bank and Trust Company Plato branch. The Plato based bank has been in operation for about 113 years and is expected to add about $18-million-dollars in total deposits and $10-million in total gross loans to the Heritage Bank portfolio. Gena Hillhouse will continue to serve Plato customers as Vice President of Retail Operations at the Plato branch of Heritage Bank. The agreement was approved by the Board of Directors for both companies and the transaction is expected to be complete during the fourth quarter.
