Helen Jean Howe, 70, of Elkland, Missouri, wife of Larry Howe, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, at her home in Elkland, Missouri with her husband by her side.

Helen was born on March 15, 1954, in Buffalo, Missouri. Daughter of the late Glenn Austin and Velma (Anglin) Austin. Helen was saved at an early age and joined Union Mound Church in Elkland, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Larry Howe on June 23, 1972, to this union she was blessed with two sons, Chris and Steven.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, and grandma. Helen loved her family and enjoyed every moment with them. She loved collecting and taking pictures of her family, especially of her grandchildren and great grandson. She loved working in the yard with her beautiful rose.

Surviving is her husband Larry Howe of 52 years, her two sons Chris and wife Shauna Howe of Elkland, and Steven Howe of Elkland, sister Jackie Howe of Elkland, three granddaughters: Sierra, Amber, and Khloe, one grandson, Hunter Howe and one great grandson, Cooper Howe.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, the late Glenn and Velma Austin, stepdad Ray Austin, all of Elkland, and her brother-in-law Richard Howe.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be given to St. June’s or the American Heart Association.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Union Mound Cemetery with Freddy Brinkley officiating.
