Hearing set for Webster County Murder Suspect
A March 29th hearing is scheduled for a Hartville man accused of murder. 23-year-old Gage H. Bittner is accused of shooting a man three times with a 38, twice in the abdomen and once in the chest, on Wednesday March 9th, at a residence in the 18-hundred block of Peewee Crossing Road in Seymour. Bittner reportedly fled the scene of the shooting in a vehicle driven by Teresa Ireland, who was also arrested. Webster County Deputies discovered the victim’s body on the same day. On Friday, Bittner appeared without counsel and pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action. Bittner’s next hearing date is set for March 29th. 52 year old Teresa L. Ireland of Seymour was charged with hindering prosecution in the case, and pleaded not guilty during a hearing on Friday. Her next court date is March 22nd. Both cases are being heard in Webster County.
