A haze lingers across the sky from wildfire smoke traveling from the western U.S. and southwest Canada. State Climatologist Pat Guinan says the smoke causes the sunrise and sunset to have a more visible red tint.

 

More than 100 wildfires are burning across the western United States stretching across the northern Plains and Midwest to the southeast coast.
