Hazard Mitigation Planning Meeting
The first of three meetings for the Hazard Mitigation Planning was yesterday (Wednesday). Every five years the Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Government holds these meetings to discuss natural disasters and come up with a new mitigation plan. Office of Emergency Management Director Randy Rowe says the turnout for the meeting was great.
Rowe says the meeting is a shortcut for FEEMA to see that the county is keeping up with an updated plan.
In other news Rowe says all storm sirens that were tested yesterday (Wednesday) fired and cycled like they are supposed to.
