Hawley Praises Missouri Prescription Legislation

Missouri’s junior senator is praising the state Legislature’s approval of prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP) legislation. As attorney general, Josh Hawley sued pharmaceutical companies that made the opioids:

Senator Hawley tells Missourinet PDMP is crucial for doctors and for the state, to battle the opioid epidemic. A PDMP is an electronic database that collects data on controlled substance prescriptions within a state. Missouri is the only state in the nation without a PDMP. Hawley praises the bill sponsor, Scott City State Senator Holly Rehder, for her persistence on this issue.
