Harold Ray Williams, son of the late Herbert and Leora (Bates) Williams, was born on June 24, 1945 in Rolla, MO and departed this life on September 25, 2024 in Springfield, MO. At the time of his passing he was 79 years and three months of age.
Harold spent his early years in Rolla before moving to a farm outside of town. He was drafted into the United States Army when he was 21 and served his country during the Vietnam War in the 4th Infantry Division, 10th Cavalry, Troop D. After his service, he returned home and was united in marriage to Juanita Green on September 26, 1969. They moved to Springfield, MO where Harold worked for Zenith until moving to the country near Elkland, MO to raise their two children, and later, three grandchildren. Harold enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs, spending time in the woods deer hunting and feeding the deer and turkeys and going on walks. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and brother.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife Juantia of the home; one son, Dwayne & wife Cindy Williams; one daughter, Carolyn Wilson; his grandchildren, Adrian & Taylor Dunn, Brittany & Chris Porter, Casey & Ashley Marrero, Dannielle Coulter, Paige Williams, and Michael Williams; his great-grandchildren, Maddison, Hailey, Kaily, Noah, Jaxson, Tucker, Tanner Ray, McKenzi, Wilder, Walker, and R. T.; two brothers; and one sister. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Veteran’s organization of the donors choice.
