Ground Breaking Ceremony For New Call Center

After months of planning, yesterday the new 911 Emergency Call Center finally broke ground. The new center will be located at the Laclede County Courthouse. The old call center is small and this one will be bigger and safer. The new center will have an F-5 tornado shelter where the call center workers will be safe if natural disasters occur. DeWitt and Associates will be the ones working on the new call center as they won the bid. Presiding County Commissioner Randy Angst says this will help Laclede County folks for years to come.

Laclede County Sheriff David Millsap is excited to be able to have his staff work in better working conditions.

Angst says the project will be complete in a year.
