A Gravois Mills man is facing charges after a traffic stop on Sunday night. Officers with the Camden County Sheriff’s Department conducted that stop in the 11-thousand block of North State Highway 5 in Sunrise Beach. During the stop, officers say that 40-year-old Mark C. Wildhagen appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. A police K-9 was called to the scene, and indicated controlled substances were in the vehicle. Wildhagen admitted to officers that he was in possession of controlled substances. Officers searched the vehicle, and found what they believed to be methamphetamine. Deputies also located several firearms, and over 700 rounds of various caliber ammunition. Wildhagen was taken into custody, and transported to the Camden County Adult Detention facility. He is charged with the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and the Class E Felony of Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond has been set at 50-thousand dollars.
