Grand Jury Indicts Webster County Man For Sex Acts Against A Minor

A 62-year-old Webster County man has been indicted by a grand jury on three charges of sex acts against a minor. Wayne Shockey now faces charges of first-degree statutory sodomy, statutory sodomy and attempted sexual intercourse with a minor, and sexual exploitation of a minor. Court records indicate that Shockey had deviate sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 14 by touching her inappropriately and that the minor also had intercourse with Samuel Barnett. In addition, Shockey allegedly took a video of a minor engaged in sexual activity with him.

This is not the first time that Shockey and Barnett have been accused of sexually abusing children. They were previously charged in 2020 with similar offenses over a period of years.
