Governor Mike Parson has joined 14 other Republican Governors in signing onto an initiative to address nationwide supply chain problems. The Governors are calling on the Biden Administration to lower the truck driver age requirement from 21 to 18 years old. Missouri Trucking Association President and CEO Tom Crawford says a federal pilot program could be coming down the pipeline soon to lower the age requirement.

Parson has also signed an executive order creating a Missouri Supply Chain Task Force – to find ways to improve and resolve supply chain problems in Missouri. The task force is also responsible for engaging surrounding states in this work.
