Missouri Governor, Mike Parson, will be making a stop in southwest Missouri this morning. The governor is scheduled to be in Buffalo from 10-10:45 on Monday morning to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new Durham facility located in Buffalo. That groundbreaking will take place at 3868 State Highway 73. That new Durham facility will bring several new jobs to the area, which has struggled to recover from the loss of jobs that the Petit Jean Poultry plant provided. That groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public. The governor will also be paying a visit to mid-Missouri on Thursday. Governor Parson is scheduled to visit the Eldon Career Center from 1:30-2:30. He will then visit the Quaker Windows facility at 2:45, where a major announcement is planned. At 3:45, the governor is scheduled to tour the Eldon Ice Cream Factory. All of these events are open to the public. Parson will also be speaking at the National Day of Prayer ceremony on Thursday at noon at the state capitol.
