Missouri school leaders have been working hard on reopening plans intended to help protect staff, students, and their families from the coronavirus. An idea was also brought up during the roundtable about the possibility of having Missouri National Guard members get involved in school duties, such as substitute teaching. A central Missouri middle school teacher, Jill Verslues, says many teachers have anxiety about going back to school, especially those with children dealing with health problems or with elderly parents in their homes.
