Goodwin Hollow Bridge on Route 64 in Laclede County is open to traffic
The new bridge on Missouri Route 64 over Goodwin Hollow Creek, just west of Lebanon, is now open. After months of detours, local travelers will now be able to take a shorter and safer route home. And people traveling to get away at Bennett Spring State Park will be able to take a direct route to the State Park. Construction crews have completed building the new structure and realigning the road.
Crews from Don Schnieders Excavating Company Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, closed Route 64 over Goodwin Hollow Creek on June 10. This project included replacing the original bridge, built in 1931, with a wider structure and realigning the curve east of the bridge.
