(Waynesville)–Pulaski County has a great community resource in the Good Samaritan Resource Center of the Ozark’s Thrift Stores in Waynesville and Richland. They had to shut down in late March as a result of the Governor’s Stay-at-Home order. Reopening in early May, the thrift stores have been doing great business.
Good Samaritan Resource Center of the Ozarks Executive Director Suzanne Wilber says business is better than ever.
The Thrift Stores offer great values to the public in clothing, household items, furniture, and the like.
Money raised from Thrift Store sales goes to buy food for the food pantry that’s available free to the public. The Resource Center also receives private donations from individuals, churches, and organizations in the community. The Good Samaritan Resource Center of the Ozarks’ other ministry is the shelter for battered women and children, Genesis: A Place of New Beginnings in Waynesville.
