Get Your Kicks On The Mother Road This Weekend
The two-day Route 66 Festival Kicks off today in Lebanon. The event features classic cars, live music, food trucks, and plenty of family-friendly activities!
Lebanon Mayor Jared Carr says the city will be buzzing this weekend.
Drivers be aware there will be street closings Friday for the downtown portion of the festival. Street closures are as follows:
11:00 a.m. – Madison Avenue will close between the railroad tracks and Commercial Street for set up of the band stage. Commercial Street be open.
3:30 p.m. – Commercial Street from Washington to Jackson avenues will close. The Cruise begins at 4 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m. Left turn lanes from Jefferson to Commercial Street also will close at 3:30 p.m..
The public should park somewhere off Commercial Street after 3:30 p.m. so the classic cars can park there. Classic cars are asked to enter at Washington or Jackson, where there will be someone to move the barricades for them.
Parking is available to the south of downtown between the railroad tracks and the rear of Commercial Street buildings. Hudson Feed has offered its lot after 5 p.m. U.S. Bank has offered its lots at Jefferson and Third and behind the Shriners Building as auxiliary parking.
