General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital is offering early access to COVID vaccine for high-risk patients who are GLWACH-enrolled

The General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital at Fort Leonard Wood is offering early access to COVID vaccine for high-risk patients who are GLWACH-enrolled. The vaccine is available through Friday, January 29th. By current CDC and DoD guidelines, high-risk patients are 65 and older, or 16 and older with one of the following conditions–currently active with cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD, heart failure, coronary artery disease, Cardiomyopathy, Immunocompromised state from solid organ transplant, obesity, currently pregnant, sickle cell disease, active smoker, and type 2 diabetes patients who are insulin-dependent. Hospital staff is actively calling known high-risk patients who may also self-refer through this Friday. Any patient who meets the above conditions-based criteria may call the appointment line at 1-866-299-4234 to book an appointment.
