Gas prices up over 60 cents in the last 30 days

What is the most unreported or underreported major news story today? It’s the story about how MUCH gasoline prices have shot up over the last two weeks.
We hear from time to time about the national average, but what does that mean to the ordinary motorist in Pulaski County? Since Saturday, July 22nd, when the price at the pump for regular gasoline at some outlets in St. Robert was 3.06 per gallon, gasoline prices have jumped up more than 60 cents per gallon. As of Thursday, prices at the pump for regular gasoline have increased 63 cents per gallon at some St. Robert outlets. Gasoline prices usually rise leading up to Labor Day, which would indicate higher gasoline prices are expected for that holiday traffic period.
