FUNDS 4 FOOD Update

As of April 28, FUNDS 4 FOOD, a joint effort of Community Cares and KJEL Radio,  has received $22,804.00 in cash and check donations. The Facebook fundraiser for online donations has received $1,622.00 for a grand total of $24,426.00 raised since the launch on April 13. This amount far exceeds the original goal of raising $15,000 by the end of May. The donations received to date will provide 97,704 meals to Laclede County. Each dollar donated purchases 4 meals thanks to the partnerships between FUNDS 4 FOOD recipient food pantries and Ozarks Food Harvest. FUNDS 4 FOOD fundraising will continue for as long as the community supports the fund and/or area food pantries reach a manageable level of food requests.
