There will be a fundraising event this coming Saturday in Crocker City Park to benefit Shiniah and Bryan Dittman and their newborn son Kyson. Kyson was diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and had his first surgery at only two days old. His mother was hospitalized in Kansas City due to his diagnosis prior to birth and is unable to work. She was a Kindergarten teacher in Richland. Her husband is the new High School Science teacher in Crocker. Kyson remains in a hospital in Kansas City. The family will be hosting the benefit, starting at 11 o’clock this Saturday morning in Crocker City Park. Activities will include a corn hole beanbag tournament and a silent auction. The cost to enter the tournament is $50 per team. Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. To enter, contact Sylvia at 573-842-9687 or Erin at 573-552-6598. The silent auction will be held from 11 a-m to 1 p-m. A pulled pork lunch with side dishes and beverages will be served at $5 per person. Children, age 10 and under, will get to eat free.
