(Fort Leonard Wood)–Fort Leonard Wood has raised its Health Protection Condition from Alpha to Bravo following an identification of a positive, non-travel-related case of the COVID-19 virus in Pulaski County. The patient is not on, or from Fort Leonard Wood.

HPCON Bravo is instituted when there is an increased exposure risk and calls for strict hygiene measures as well as identification and self-quarantine of potentially exposed personnel. The HPCON change was triggered by the non-travel-related nature of the case.

Fort Leonard Wood is taking precautionary measures in all they do – from questioning those seeking access to post, to screening new trainees, to adjusting operations across garrison and staff services. This situation is not business as usual so the installation will conduct operations differently to allow the team to sustain its mission while taking care of their people.
